Christopher J. Vallorosi, MD, FACS

Dr. Vallorosi received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1991. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1995. He completed a General Surgery Internship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1996 and went on to complete his Urology Residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 2001. He has a diverse training background in all areas of urologic disease. He is on the clinical staff at Bayhealth Medical Center, Delaware Surgery Center, and Beebe Healthcare.

Dr. Vallorosi’s clinical interests are in urologic oncology including the treatment of cancers of the prostate and bladder, benign prostatic hypertrophy, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism and testosterone replacement therapy, urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis, and voiding dysfunction.

Some of Dr. Vallorosi’s specific areas of expertise include minimally invasive therapies for enlarged prostate, including Urolift, Rezum, and plasma vaporization. He also performs Botox for overactive bladder, and Bulkamid for stress urinary incontinence. He does laser surgery and shock wave lithotripsy for kidney stones. In addition, he offers MRI fusion biopsies for prostate cancer detection.

Dr. Vallorosi is a member of the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the Delaware Urological Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
